Now people are wanting to show off not only their fancy kitchen, but also everything else (of good quality), which is in the kitchen. While still in an infancy, this trend is growing quickly and we’re seeing designers and manufacturers implement open shelving in their 2014 designs.
The homeowners had an aggressive timeframe and chose to work with a Bethesda, MD-based design/build firm Case Design/Remodeling, Inc., which also has an office in Falls Church, VA. Much of the project had to be completed via virtual meetings with the homeowners and Case. They began sharing designs via video chats with one quick in-person visit to confirm finishes.
Kitchen cabinets will always be useful in all kitchens, but now we’re seeing a trend towards open shelving. Why hide away those eye catching kitchen accessories and crockery behind closed doors: These have design and appeal too.
They slide into each other, closing or opening the telescope, like a cloth folded and refolded on each occasion to create the most appropriate garment – or silk-wrapped package. Designed in cooperation between Codegoni and Faber’s R&D division, the unusual kitchen hood is currently available for purchase, at € 2300. Have a look at the video to see how it works!
