Modern furniture adorns the social living area, comprising the kitchen (incorporating also a dining area) and the living room. Blending in harmony, modern and traditional come together, giving birth to a unique shelter in the middle of the woods, perfect to disconnect from the daily routine and recharge with freshness.
In wet, cold and blustery environments, a sliding glass screen would work well to prevent the need for constant cleaning from weathering, while enabling versatility in its use, both in gorgeous and questionable weather conditions. Impressive and glamorous: A definite showpiece for any home which can host an outdoor kitchen.
In designing this 4,700-square-foot home, designer Leah Margolis from, also from Saratoga Springs, New York, worked with the homeowners to achieve a joint vision of a cohesive space. Margolis introduced the owners to mid-century modern design beginning with an original Saarinen Tulip Table. The table started the ball rolling and they fully embraced it.
Production was running smoothly with the prospect of completing the kitchen makeover five days earlier until the homeowners decided they wanted to remove the fireplace wall between the kitchen and the family room.
